Power Play Baseball is a fantasy baseball game in which you draft and manage a team of major league baseball players throughout a full season of head-to-head games against other teams in your league.
Power Play baseball leagues consist of 10 teams divided into two 5 team divisions. The regular season is 24 weeks long with a 2 week playoff format of 2 division winners and 2 wild card teams with the best records in the league, regardless of division. This makes the regular season mean more than just formality and still alows a 40% participation in the playoffs.
Paper drafting is easy and there is no extra cost. A draft list is available for your request and is self explanitory. Return your draft list as soon as possible to have your team in place and be able to make pre-season roster moves if necessary. You can join a league by yourself and we will place you in a league with nine other teams. You may also join with friends and be in the same league. If you join as a full league you can use our draft sheet (copies are acceptable) or hold your own draft and send in your teams rosters. Full leagues can be from 10 to 30 teams with your own roster limits.
Team owners receive 26 weekly reports which are sent by postal mail or e-mail promptly each week. Faxed reports are available at a $30.00 additional charge. These reports are also posted to our baseball web site.

A 28 player roster allows for injury replacements and to make hunch or sleeper picks for the future as our leagues are perennial leagues which you may keep year after year. You do not have to cut players at the end of the season, but you will have to drop a player for each positional player picked in the next season's draft.
Power Play has over 190 scoring increments from a base of 38 scoring plays and statistics. We use weekly averages with certain qualifiers in addition to weekly stats to calculate a player's total contribution to your game whether is is positive or negative. If you like a well balanced and in depth scoring system, then Power Play Fantasy Baseball is the answer.
We have a fair price that is close to that of a full league so an individual team does not have to pay a much higher price than players in a full league.
One team - $39.95 Full league - $35.95 per team
Full leagues are also available with up to 30 teams (10 minimum) and a customized scoring system per your league specifications The cost is $35.95 per team.
Free agent pickups for previously undrafted player and players released over one week are done a first come first serve basis . This is so owners who do their home work are not penalized and not to reward other owners who had a bad draft or are not paying attention to their teams. Players posted as the weekly top free agents and players released during the current week are available first choice to the bottom team up to the top team. All players drafted during the week are available for the following week.
Call in transactions and lineup changes for the current week at anytime for your convience up to 12:00 noon eastern time on Mondays.
Our leagues are designed for fun and competition among a small group of people and not the thousands that are needed for big prize money. We do, however, award league trophies to each league champion. These are personally engraved for you. Also, the team with the highest total starting points among all leagues will play free next season and receive a Power Play Fantasy Baseball Champion tee shirt.
